Boeing notes, there are two approved EDP suppliers to the 737MAX, Vickers (EATON) PN: 849589 and ABEX (Parker) PN: 66087. Per AIPC 29-11-11-02 , there is qualified interchangeability which states “PN: 849589 (10-62167-3) CAN REPLACE OR BE REPLACED BY PN: 66087 (10-62167-2) TOGETHER WITH QAD KIT(60827 OR 66087AK1)”. Please note: Qualified Interchangeability does not drive effectivity into an AIPC item.
2022年7月,波音发布737NG-FTD-29-22003和737MAX-FTD-29-22002 Commanded IFSD due to Hydraulic Fluid Contamination of the Engine Oil Resulting From EDP Failure (737NG/MAX)
算是首次间接承认设计上的问题。考虑对EDP做设计上的更改,以限制通过轴封严的流量,以及对AGB PAD DRAIN做设计上的更改,以容纳更大的渗漏量。
Flight Position 2 LEAP-1B Commanded IFSD in Cruise phase Diversion/ATB declared and landed safely) Flight crew reported Commanded IFSD following Engine Driven Hydraulic Pump #2 Low Pressure Light and Oil Filter Bypass Light illuminated: QRH Check List then still remained illuminated: #2 Engine Shutdown. Maintenance crew on ground found 1) Engine Oil smells of Hydraulic Fluid, 2) Hyd-B system quantity is Zero, 3) Evidence of Oil Leak from Engine Driven Hydraulic Pump drain.
厂家的统计如下
波音对手册的维护改版主要包括:
1、Boeing has updated the 737NG AMM SUBTASK 29-11-11-020-001-001/737MAX AMM TASK 29-11-11-000-801 to include revised guidance to properly remove the hydraulic quick disconnects.
2、 737NG SUBTASK 29-11-11-211-002/737MAX AMM SUBTASK 29-11-11-211-001 to enhance the warning and caution notes to help mitigate maintenance induced EDP events post EDP removal.
3、Furthermore, Boeing has added a caution note to 737NG SUBTASK 29-11-51-020-019/737MAX AMM SUBTASK 29-11-51-020-013 to note it is not necessary to remove the case drain filter hose at the strut during a case drain filter change.
On 24 July 2023, a LEAP-1B powered 737 MAX experienced a commanded In Flight Shut Down (IFSD). During flight, low pressure indication was observed from HYD SYS A on engine #1. Several minutes later the engine #1 Oil Filter Bypass Light illuminated and the crew performed a commanded IFSD and safely landed at the destination airport.
Ground troubleshooting found HYD fluid leakage from EDP(eaton ).Observed findings: the engine oil system was contaminated by hydraulic fluid, theguick disconnect of drain case line Svstem A was found not fu ly connected.
On 17 Dec 2023, a LEAP-1B28B1 pienced an In Flight Shut Down (IFSD).During cressure light illuminated. During descent the crew experienced a complete loss of Hydraulic System B and engine #2 Oil Fiter Bypass alert. The crew performed a commond ISFD and single engine landing. Ground troubleshooting found evidence of hydraulc fluid contamination in the engine oil system and obsved leak from EDP drive pad.
