Boeing Service Request System The main purpose of Boeing tools designated with tool tag identifier “STD-XXXX” is to provide generic information and a basic description, which allows airline operators/MROs the flexibility and choice to procure the tool from any local source that meets the general tool tag description. For example, STD-XXXX refers to standard tools that would normally be considered common to a mechanics toolbox or readily available common shop equipment. STD tools are defined by a general description (for example: two gallon bucket) or by a specification number. STD tools can typically be locally procured. Examples of STD tools include hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. For STD-686, Hainan Airlines can choose any general equivalent 28VDC power supply to connect with the input jacks of test box SPL-1685.
